SINGER GOING FOR A SONG

Rooney gave us an old Singer sewing machine table today that was cluttering up one of his barns, since we are going to keep the house looking ”Period” these old artifacts will make good decoration.

I started by cleaning of the years of accumulated dust.

Then some varnish after a lite sanding.

Linda meanwhile, cleaned and varnished some parts of the old spinning wheel we found in the attic.

The sewing machine has a brass plaque riveted on the side with a serial number stamped on, Googling the serial number showed the machine was manufactured in 1919 just after World War 1.
