  1. Have you been working late to get the last one finished Dave.
Has Linda been keeping the pom poms coming !!

    • Hi Ian,

Yes I was up all night/morning hence there are a few mistakes in the last video lol….And to make matters worse Linda was clicking her fingers every five minutes demanding pom poms because she had the sniglies…..this would not happen in my fathers day!!! she is so spoilt!!!!!

      Cheers,

      dave…

    • Hi Stan,

Thinking about making a video for 2008 and 2007, but its working up the enthusiasm to sift through all photos…maybe next week lol.

      Cheers,

      Dave….

  5. Forgot to say,

Any travel plans yet for this year 2010??

    Stan

    • Hi Stan,

So far we are planning a trip with the wives (Expensive) around Greece for a week or so in May, a men only(Cheap) trip to Europe probably Eastern Europe not sure yet for a couple of weeks, July or August, plus some more Turkey places not yet been to in the East, Cappadocia for oneand some others ı forget the name off. Syria and Jordan are still on my wish list though!!

      Cheers,

      Dave….

  6. Dave:

finally had a chance to view all your videos. We’ve been on the “GO” no time to stop and breathe.

I’m guessing that DJ Crawfie is = –> “IAN” ? Appears you have given up on the Beach Boys. I keep checking, are they still “Stuck in Greece”?

I thought pom poms were something for females to make, and not sure what medical milk is ? Perhaps you mean milk with alcohol like grand marnier with cream

    • Hi Bob,

Well guessed, DJ CRAWFIE is Ian…but dont tell anyone, he wants to keep his feet on the ground and not let his new media success go to his head!! I needed more choice of songs for the videos than the three I know lol.

”pom poms” is an abbreviation of ”Tiddly om pom poms” does that help???

Medical milk (Cant believe I’m telling you this) started when my daughter was about 2 or 3 years old, when she was a little unwell, or just feeling a little sniggley, I would say ”Do you want some MAGIC MILK to make you better,” which then changed over the years to MEDICAL MILK lol. It’s just milk heated up, with one tea spoon of sugar, then poured from pan to cup several times so its very frothy…..cures the kids, and cures the Mrs. lol

      Cheers,

      Dave….

  7. Dave:

You gave Ian away on one of your videos, only I would have noticed.

We have a manual Cappucino machine with that “wand”. Once the boiler has warmed up, you fill a cup with milk and put turn on the steam which travels through the wand and bring the milk to boiling very fast. We usually only use 2% milk but you need the higher fat content for more foam. Then we add cocoa powder which already has some suger and it makes for an excellent HOT Chocolate.

How’s Linda doing with dinner ? “cause I’m getting hungry

    bob

    • Hi Bob,

A Cappucino machine, you people in the West with all your technology!!!….I also have a coffee machine here…Called Linda lol

      Cheers,

      Dave…..

  8. What a great idea – a review of the year in photos. I might just steal this idea………

  9. Cant believe Bob you didnt know what pom poms are!!!!! just ask Bev and Ian they know exactly what pom poms, medical milk, and cheese piggies are….you MUST of lived a sheltered life Bob 😉

  10. Dave:

NOPE, those are foreign words over here. You must be speaking British English while we speak Canadian

  11. Dave:

    • Hi Bob,

OK here, its just the preparation (Angst and no concentration) to quitting (Again) smoking….this time it should be easier, I’ve got those patches that you stick on your arm or where ever, that deliver a slow, but gratifying stream of Nicotine all day!!

      Cheers,

      Dave….

  12. Good Luck in packing the fags in (again)
I think it’s a case of you want to or you don’t mate.

    All the Best

    Ian aka DJ Crawfie

    • Hi Ian,

Its a little different this time, instead of me giving in to the endless nagging and pressure to stop…This time its my idea to stop and I have plenty of cheap patches!!

      Cheers,

      Dave…..

  13. Another nice traveling vid!!….work has been so busy this week (Not normal) I’m getting behind with my comments.

Best of luck quitting the fags out there, I’m guessing they are very cheap there and everyone and his dog smokes!!

    J

    • Hi James,

Yep, much cheaper here than UK, about 1.10p a packet here, compared to the 5 Quid a packet there…and yes everyone smokes here, its a national sport, but its time to be a FORMER gold medalist lol.

      Cheers,

      Dave…..

  14. Dave:

    I’m proud of you

    bob
    bobskoot: wet coast scootin

    • …Thanks for that Bob, have a great time in Hawaii, try and rent a bike to go around the island if you can!!

      Cheers,

      Dave….

  15. Dave:

I already checked. Bikes are $150. per day, I rented a car for $150. for the whole week and the plan is to ride around the whole island and see the Volcano, walk on the black sand beach and soak in the sun. Then perhaps Turkey 2011. (in the thinking stage)

    bob
    bobskoot: wet coast scootin

    • Hi Bob,

150 USD is about 90 Quid, very expensive to rent a bike there!!…If your really traveling here next year from Canada Bob, you really must add in Greece and Italy, it would be a real treat, and also Paris and Prague, Jordan (Petra) would be fantastic if you could squeeze that in too, from Istanbul you can get short flights over to Egypt, Cairo and Luxor, Luxor is where all the temples are, plus valley of the kings etc.

      It’ll be a photographers delight!!!

      Cheers,

      Dave….

  16. Dave:

sounds good. you book the tickets and I’ll pay you back . . .

    bob
    bobskoot: wet coast scootin

    • Hi Bob,

Thought you were off to Hawaii?? Just been watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on the computer, that would be a project and a half getting a Transalp to fly…see how deftly I avoided any mention of paying for your tickets LOL.

To keep ourselves calm while we quit the fags, I’m downloading all the old family films…Tomorrow is Sound of Music and the next night is Bedknobs and Broomsticks lol.

      Cheers,

      Dave….

  17. I really hope you do stop smoking, not going to preach…..but it does seam to have given you ”Writers Block” lol.

    D

    • Hi Donna,

Yep its been a while……cant fret and write at the same time lol

      Cheers,

      Dave….

  18. Dave, excellent video and great choice of music. You and Linda had a fantastic 2009 touring season, and I am looking forward to your 2010 reports! Take care!

    • Hi Lance,

Yep 2010 touring is still in the planning/Daydreaming stage, should have some concrete ideas in a month or two.

      cheers,

      Dave….

  19. Dave:

Sadly, I’m back home and at work now and ready to read your next installment, whenever you decide to pick up a pen

    bob
    bobskoot: wet coast scootin

    • Hi Bob,

Welcome back mate!!….are you now stressing as you edit a whole week of video footage lol, I’m still off the fags, its nearly 2 weeks now and I’m slowly starting to function again lol.

      Cheers,

      Dave…..
