DAY 32 – GRANADA TO MAZARRON

An early start again today, our plan is to get back to the coast and then continue to  head up the Spanish coast towards France, since we have already been to Mazarron we know there are plenty of campsites around that area and we won’t have to spend ages going around in circles trying to find one.

dropping down from the hills and heading in to some obscure town nearing the coast, this chap came along side waving, we chatted for a few minutes as we were riding along (not easy to do) then we pulled in to a little cafe to talk more easily.

He was a German man named Frank, he spoke excellent English, he was in Gibraltar the other day also, he has riden his bike down from Germany and is going to visit his parents who now live in Spain.

Frank was planning to ride down to Turkey next year so he asked lots of questions, we swapped bike stories for a while then continued on our journey.

Once back to the coast we came off the motorway and ambled along the old coast rode stopping to take photos every now and then.

the thing about the town of Mazarron is that it has some very unique  and memorable roundabouts which helps you find your way when  where you are in an unfamiliar town.

Now that we have spent a month sat on a motorbike with all the discomfort and heat rashes that can be generated in those intimate little places it was nice to see that the town of Mazarron caters for long distance riders……
