DAY 18 – SCOTLAND BACK TO RICHMOND

Peebles near Edinburgh was the most Northerly point of our trip to see Cathy and George. Linda and Cathy walked around town by themselves before we set off  late morning, back to England.

The weather started out on our side today, but mostly rain after an hour or so on our return to England.

We stopped for a ciggie with a group of bikers near the town of Moffat.

Our cameras both  got wet, hence poor quality photos again today.

When we reached England and crossed the Pennines the weather deteriated even more, hail stones and strong gusts of wind.

  1. The Met Office had told us we were set for a Barbeque summer! Then I discovered that is the outlook for the Planet Bollox.

    • Hi Nikos,

Sorry for the late reply, finding cheap internet in Europe is impossible, we are back in sunny and warm Greece now, sat in leather arm chairs in a Greek internet cafe, its great here, will start up dating the blog today.

      Cheers

      Dave…

  2. Still following you on your trip, a great distraction from the daily working hours! Thanks.

  3. Take comfort. It was pouring down in Dalaman and Fethiye when we got back from Istanbul on Thursday.

    • Hi John,

We are off to Istanbul on the way back, after a day riding around Rome Istanbul should be a piece of cake, we are back in Greece now and its bloody hot here.

      Cheers

      Dave..

  4. Riding in the rain is never any fun…you captured the gloomand misery of it very well, few people ever risk getting their camera wet but you two take the chance, well done.

    • Hi James,

Thanks for that, we only have cheap old cameras, perhaps I would not risk them getting wet if they were expensive cameras.

      Cheers

      Dave…

  5. You never had much luck with the weather in UK Dave Ha,Ha
